Kaempfer Finance (“Kaempfer Finance”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a loan advisory and marketplace platform that helps you compare and apply for loans offered by banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) and other lending partners. This Privacy Policy applies to www.kaempferfinance.com and any related pages, forms, calculators, calls and messages through which we interact with you (together, the “Platform”).
By using the Platform or sharing your details with us, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Kaempfer Finance is the party that decides how and why your personal data is processed.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information we need to help you find and apply for a loan. Depending on how you use the Platform, this may include:
Information you give us
- Contact details: your name, mobile number, email address and city.
- Loan requirements: the type of loan you are looking for, the amount, tenure and purpose.
- Profile and financial details: employment type, income, existing loans or EMIs, and similar details you provide so we can match you with suitable lenders.
- Identity and KYC documents: such as PAN, Aadhaar (or its masked copy), address proof and income documents, only when you choose to submit them for an application.
- Your messages: anything you tell us when you call, write to us or chat with our team.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, time spent and referring pages.

Information from other sources
- Credit information: with your consent, we or our lending partners may obtain your credit score and credit report from a credit information company.
- Lending partners: status updates on your application, such as approval, rejection or disbursal.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- contact you and respond to your enquiry, including a call back when you ask for one;
- assess your eligibility and match you with suitable loan offers from our lending partners;
- help you complete your application, including document collection and verification;
- send you updates about your application and, where you have agreed, information about our products and offers;
- improve the Platform, our calculators and our services, and understand how people use them;
- detect, prevent and investigate fraud, misuse and security incidents; and
- comply with legal, regulatory and audit requirements.
We process your information based on your consent, to provide the services you ask for, and to meet our legal obligations. You can withdraw your consent at any time as described below.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following situations:
- Lending partners: banks, NBFCs and other financial institutions to whom you ask us to forward your application, so they can assess it and contact you.
- Service providers: companies that help us run the Platform, such as hosting, analytics, communication (SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, email and calling), customer support, KYC and credit-checking providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us and under confidentiality obligations.
- Group companies: our affiliates and group companies, where needed to provide services you have requested or to operate the Platform.
- Legal and regulatory authorities: courts, regulators, law enforcement or other government bodies, where required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public.
- Business transfers: a buyer or successor, if Kaempfer Finance is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We will ask you to continue to honour this policy or tell you of any change.
Once your information reaches a lending partner, that partner’s own privacy policy also applies to how they handle it.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep the Platform working properly, remember your preferences, measure traffic and understand which pages and tools are useful. We may also use analytics and advertising tools that set their own cookies.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block certain cookies, some parts of the Platform may not work as expected.
6. Calls, WhatsApp, RCS and SMS
When you submit your number and agree to our terms, you allow us and our partners to contact you by phone, SMS, WhatsApp, RCS and email about your enquiry, your application and related offers. This permission applies even if your number is registered on a Do Not Disturb or similar preference list.
You can opt out of promotional messages at any time by replying with the opt-out instruction in the message, or by writing to us at the email address below. We may still send you service messages that relate to an application you have made.
7. Data Retention
We keep your personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as long as the law requires us to. After that, we delete it or anonymise it so that it can no longer identify you. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we must retain it for legal, regulatory, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution reasons.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. These include encrypted connections, access controls and restricting access to personal data to people who need it for their work.
No method of transmission over the internet or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your own devices and never share one-time passwords (OTPs) or banking passwords with anyone claiming to be from Kaempfer Finance. We will never ask for your card PIN, CVV or net-banking password.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Under applicable Indian data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information, or to update it;
- ask us to erase your personal data, subject to any legal obligation to keep it;
- withdraw your consent to processing or to marketing communications at any time (this will not affect processing done before you withdrew it);
- nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity; and
- raise a grievance with us, and approach the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied with our response.

10. Children’s Privacy
The Platform is meant for people who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to websites or services run by others, including our lending partners. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before sharing any information.
